10 Traditional Machining Methods
Machining refers to the process of changing the overall size or properties of a workpiece by mechanical means. According to the different processing methods, it can be divided into cutting processing and pressure processing.
Traditional processing methods mainly include:
Auto, pliers, milling, planning, cutting, grinding, drilling, boring, punching, sawing, etc. Also includes electroplating, wire cutting, casting, forging, electro-etching, powder processing, etc.
1. Turning: (vertical, horizontal): the main feature is the processing of the rotary things.
2. Milling: (end milling and horizontal milling): The main feature is the grooves and straight lines of the machined surface. Of course, the curved surface can also be machined into two-axis or three-axis linkage.
3. Planning: the main feature is the straight surface of the machining profile, and the surface roughness is generally lower than that of the milling machine.
4. Blade: It can be understood as a vertical plane, which is very suitable for incomplete arc processing.
5. Grinding: (plane grinding, cylindrical grinding, internal hole grinding, tool grinding, etc.) high-precision surface treatment.
6. Drilling: hole processing, drilling: larger diameter, higher hole machining accuracy, and larger workpiece shape. There are many processing methods
7. CNC machining, wire cutting, etc.
8. Boring: main boring tool or insert boring inner hole.
9. Punching: mainly punching with punching machine.
10. Sawing: It is mainly cut by a sawing machine.
